Welcome to the Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association
The Raleigh-Wake Paralegal Association was formed in October 1979 by a group of professional paralegals with the primary goal of enhancing professionalism and fraternity among paralegals in the Wake County area of North Carolina.
Today, the Association currently has over 110 members on its roster and next year, we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary.
The RWPA strives to contribute to the legal community as well as serving the needs of its members. RWPA holds lunch meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Featured at each luncheon are guest speakers from a variety of practice areas as well as local businesses who keep the membership abreast of new developments and available resources.
One of the highlights of the RWPA year is our annual CLE. This year, the all day CLE is scheduled for Friday, October 3rd, 2008 at the Holiday Inn on Glenwood and 440. We are proud that our CLE provides all the required CLE credits in order for a North Carolina Certified Paralegal to maintain their certification. Our CLE is scheduled in a "break-out" style where you can choose which CLE courses you would like to attend. Included with the CLE fee is breakfast, a delicious hot buffet lunch, an afternoon snack and a manuscript of all the break-out sessions we are offering that day. The fee for this all day seminar is $185.00 for members and $275.00 for non-members. More information and a CLE application will be provided later in the year.
We are changing our location! Beginning with the June 11th Monthly Meeting, all RWPA Monthly Member Meetings will be moved to the Holiday Inn on Glenwood and 440. The RWPA membership has outgrown the current location and has decided it is in the best interest of all Wake County Paralegals, to move our meeting to a centrally located area. The new facility allows for ample/free parking, a sit-down lunch and a larger more comfortable room. We are excited about the move and the upcoming speakers this year (please see our "Upcoming Events" tab).
Please take some time to browse through our website. We have many interesting articles for you to read and resource links for you to utilize. If you are interested in becoming a member of the RWPA the application is available on our website. If you have further questions about the RWPA you may contact the RWPA Membership Chair, Crissie Curtis at CCurtis@youngmoorelaw.com
